Backyard Pass was formed during the pandemic summer of 2020. Three friends from the Santa Cruz music scene—Eric Malmberg, Mark Creech and Steve Slivkoff—got together in Eric’s backyard—at an appropriate social distance, of course—and worked up “unplugged” arrangements of their favorite classic rock songs from the 70s, along with a handful of Americana classics. Backyard Pass plays acoustic renditions of songs by Tom Petty, John Hiatt, Eric Clapton, and many more.
