In 1991, David Shelton formed Crimson Crowbar with a few prominent L.A. musicians. The intention was to perform with and combine different lineups from amongst the vast community of professional touring musicians on the L.A. scene. Since then, the ever-growing list of the most talented players around have performed together in Crimson Crowbar all across the country. This unique platform has allowed for not only an environment for creative musical expression but also the opportunity to share the stage with other musicians they wouldn't ordinarily get to perform with. Plus, it's a lot of fun. The numerous alumni of Crimson Crowbar have credits for playing with some of the world's greatest bands: The Who, Neil Young, Smash Mouth, Chris Cornell, Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Don Henley, Don Felder, Pat Benatar, Mick Jagger, Oingo Boingo, Beth Hart, David Gilmour, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, Kenny Loggins, Eric Clapton, Gov't Mule, Billy Idol, and many, many more.
