While we are beyond excited to be slowly returning to normal, we are also cognizant of the fact that the current pandemic is still far from over, so we need to balance our (and your) excitement with a healthy dose of caution, information, and tempered expectations regarding what comes next. Let's get into it, shall we?

Our tasting room is now open to those over 21 years of age for wine tasting, glasses and bottles enjoyed onsite, and to-go sales. Here are the important, state-mandated rules that you need to know if you want to come hang out (and we sincerely hope you do):

1.  Social distancing, please and thank you. You and your group must be six feet apart from other groups. Group size is limited to six people.

2. If you are feeling ill or are showing any signs of a cold/flu, please stay home.

3. Unfortunately for the time being, the winery is a 21 and over establishment.

4. You may make a reservation prior to arriving by visiting our website www.stockwellcellars.com; otherwise it's first come first serve. ***WE DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS ON FRIDAY EVENINGS***

(When making a reservation, make sure to tap the grey block marked "Patio" to activate the reservation process. If you skip this step you will not be able to fully complete your reservation.)

5.  Guests must be seated onsite by our staff.  The state is not allowing guests to stand. If you're not in a seat, you must have your mask on. That goes for bathroom runs. Again, them’s the rules, and they are non-negotiable.

In addition to these state rules, we've adopted a whole host of best practices for our people, including temperature checks, PPE, and—of course—obsessive hand washing. We’ve re-arranged our physical settings, created QR scannable menus, and added plenty of outdoor seating.

We're positively thrilled to see all of you, but we need you to know that we're taking this very seriously, for the safety of both our patrons and our employee-owners. If you do not feel comfortable with the new setup or rules, please continue to enjoy our wines from the comfort of home. Also, if you just don't feel ready to be out in public yet, we absolutely support that decision.

While we know this is still far from our previous definition of normal, we can't tell you how thrilled we are to be able to see you all again, even from a distance. This has been one of the strangest and most challenging situations imaginable, and we are incredibly humbled by how gracious, flexible, and supportive you've all been thus far. There's light at the end of the tunnel. Let's raise a glass to it, and get there safely and responsibly.

Cheers and thanks!

Blush Wine and Oyster Event

Blush Wine and Oyster Event

What better way to celebrate late summer here on the Central Coast than with a refreshing glass of blush wine and deliciously fresh shucked oysters? If this sounds enticing to you, then we hope you will join us at Stockwell Cellars for this palate pleasing event.

Parker, from Bill the Oysterman, will be on hand with their incredible oyster bar complete with a variety of house-made sauces, and Stockwell Cellars will be pouring blush wines specifically chosen to pair perfectly with the shucked delights.

Purchase a glass and receive one complimentary oyster or purchase a bottle and receive four. Don't worry, additional oysters will be available for purchase. As an added bonus, Stockwell Cellars will be offering an exceptional promotion on all of our blush wines for the day.

Highlighted wines for the day include:

2017 Pinot Grigio Ramato

This wine, also known by many as an Orange wine, is made from Pinot Grigio grapes. The juice has been left to macerate and ferment on its skins, resulting in a beautiful pale coral colored wine. On the nose you will detect the aromatics of springtime, rose petal, honeysuckle and tangerine. This dry wine, has hints of passion fruit and blood orange on the palate and finishes with a touch of apricot.

2017 Saignée

The first thing you will notice is this wine's deep pink color with a kiss of orange in the glass. Then, your senses are awoken by the wine's beautiful bouquet of lemon balm, white peach and red berries. In the mouth, you will pick up flavors of hibiscus, blood orange, watermelon Jolly Rancher, and peach skin.  When well chilled, this wine's refreshing qualities and lingering finish beg for another sip. This is the perfect wine to pair with good friends on a warm afternoon.

2018 Rosé of Barbera

This deep coral colored Rosé greets the drinker with crisp aromas of golden apple and ripe apricot. Flavors of caracara orange and strawberry lead into a rich finish reminiscent of raw honey with subtle hints of white pear.

2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir

Brilliant, crisp, and aromatic, this dry Rosé opens with hints of strawberry, white flower, and grapefruit peel. Stone fruit shines through on the palate, with strong expressions of peach and white nectarine. A lingering minerality and light notes of lavender on the finish leaves you refreshed and wanting more.

2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir

Allowing this beautiful Rosé to open up will bring forth a dance of grapefruit, strawberry, apple blossom and sweet lavender. On the palate, a refreshing yet complex burst of flavors mirrors those on the nose, but a light tropical note of passion fruit and under ripe melon. The silkiness of lavender crème brûlée softens the lingering grapefruit peel on the finish. Well structured, with good acidity, this Rosé is the perfect beverage to carry you through those last days of summer and into fall.

While we are beyond excited to be slowly returning to normal, we are also cognizant of the fact that the current pandemic is still far from over, so we need to balance our (and your) excitement with a healthy dose of caution, information, and tempered expectations regarding what comes next. Let's get into it, shall we?

Our tasting room is now open for wine tasting, glasses and bottles enjoyed onsite, and to-go sales. The curbside pickup and local delivery that has been in place during the last three months will no longer be available. Here are the important, state-mandated rules that you need to know if you want to come hang out (and we sincerely hope you do):

1.  Social distancing, please and thank you. You and your group must be six feet apart from other groups. Group size is limited to six people, unless the community table is available which can be reserved for groups of up to 10 people.

(When making a reservation, make sure to tap the grey block marked "Tasting Room" to activate the drop down menu containing all of the potential seating locations in the tasting room, i.e. patio. If you skip this step you will not be able to complete your reservation).

5.  Guests must find a seat onsite. The state is not allowing guests to stand. If you're not in a seat, you must have your mask on. That goes for ordering, bathroom runs, and milling about. Again, them’s the rules, and they are non-negotiable.

6. Unfortunately for the time being, no outside food is allowed.

In addition to these state rules, we've adopted a whole host of best practices for our people, including temperature checks, PPE, and—of course—obsessive hand washing. We’ve re-arranged our physical settings, created disposable menus, and added plenty of outdoor seating.

Stockwell Crew

P.S. Please be patient with us as we all work to figure out these new mandates and practices.
